I was on a SriLankan Airlines A330-300 (twin-jet) (A333) Transcontinental Code UL505 from Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport to London Heathrow International Airport.

The other plane was about 7000-10000 feet below and a few miles away heading towards the Caspian Sea.

SriLankan Airlines' UL505 was flying at an altitude of 40,000 feet at that time.
